​Diep9 Genever, pronounced "deep nine juh-nee-ver", inherits its name from the deep 500 year old history of genever and from the nine botanicals immersed in its centuries-old distillation process.

Diep9 Genever is bottled by hand in historic, handcrafted clay jugs which are still being found in old shipwrecks. The jug's iconic shape is recognizable and unique to genever.

Distilled from grain nurtured in the soil of Belgium and the Netherlands, genever embodies the spirit, creativity, and resiliency of the culture that created it. Surviving five centuries of wars and prohibitions, genever was perfected and spread across the world. During its evolution, genever inspired the creation of gin and secured a place at America's early cocktail bars. 


Genever (also known as jenever) is a "Protected Product of Origin", receiving eleven different appellations or AOCs, and can only be crafted in Belgium, the Netherlands and a few areas in France and Germany.  Most of the genever AOC's are exclusive to Belgium making Belgian genever one of the best-kept secrets in the liquor industry.

Double distilled in 52 gallon batches from rye, wheat, and malted barley with nine botanicals in a traditional copper pot still according to young-style or 19th century distilling techniques, this clear genever exhibits a smooth, clean taste with a silky finish. Its delicate character is defined by 15% malt wine (grain mash). Crafted, bottled and labeld by hand at Stokerij De Moor, Belgium's smallest active grain distillery since 1910.

DIEP9 OLD GENEVER

Double distilled in 52 gallon batches from rye, wheat, and malted barley with nine botanicals in a traditional copper pot still according to old-style or 16th century distilling techniques, Diep9 Old Genever has a traditional character defined by 40% malt wine (grain mash). Barrel-aged in French oak (Bordeaux) for two years, this bright golden-colored genever exhibits a smooth taste with malty, earthy flavors. Crafted, bottled and labeled by hand at Stokerij De Moor, Belgium's smallest active grain distillery since 1910.
